Academic Tutoring

I am able to offer tutoring services in the subjects of math and science from Grade 3 through Grade 12. This includes:

- Elementary Math            - Biology
- Algebra                            - Chemistry
- Geometry                         - Physics
- Trigonometry                   - Ecology
- Calculus
- Statistics

I work with manipulatives and hands on investigations to lead students towards deep conceptual understanding, rather than wrote memorization techniques.

I begin by assessing the skills and goals of each student. Then I create individualized curriculum to support your child's growth.

If appropriate, I am able to collaborate with your child's classroom teacher to specifically tailor my instruction to match the methodologies used in their classroom.

I enjoy working with students with a variety of learning differences.

I can also work with students to provide rigorous extension materials for students who are above grade level and desiring more of a challenge than their classroom is able to provide.

About Me

After earning my master's degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education specializing in Middle School Science, I have been a classroom teacher for 5th-8th grade. I was a classroom teacher and a tutor in Denver, CO for 4 years, then spent 2 years teaching science and math at an international school in Manizales, Colombia. Now, I am happy to be starting a family in Providence, Rhode Island.

These experiences broadened my expertise in the science of learning and helped me focus my passion for working with students 1:1. I find deep joy in building genuine relationships with my students, and helping them find their confidence and natural curiosity about the world!
